LATEST HIGHLIGHT

Check out our newly published factsheet on the proposed revision of Regulation EU261/2004 and its implications for regional aviation. The revision of EU261 must take into consideration the challenging operational realities that make regional airlines particularly vulnerable to yet an additional regulatory burden. Between 2021 and 2025, 117 regional routes were discontinued and more than 10 carriers ceased operations. Regional aviation provides a unique and vital service within Europe’s transport system. The factsheet examines the main challenges, discusses the risks to European connectivity, and presents ERA’s recommendations to safeguard the future of regional connectivity.
