NPO Saturn

NPO Saturn is the leading Russian designer and manufacturer of gas turbine engines for military and civil aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, electric power plants, gas pumping units and marine applications. NPO Saturn civil engines D-30KU/KP power commercial aircraft, which are the most prevailing in Russia and the CIS countries: TU-154, IL-62 and IL-76. For the last 10 years NPO Saturn has participated in the CFM56 program as a cooperation partner of Snecma and GE. In 2004 Snecma and NPO Saturn established PowerJet joint company for the SaM146 turbofan engine development for regional jet applications. In 2010 this engine has been certified by EASA.
