Meeting with the European Commission on the EU Pact for aviation

25 June 2024: As part of the Destination 2050 alliance, ERA is pushing for the establishment of an EU pact for sustainable and competitive aviation. In the past weeks, ERA, along with Destination 2050 partners, have exchanged with different DGs from the European Commission to discuss an EU Pact for aviation. 

The aim of this pact is to strengthen the industry's collaboration with the European institutions, particularly from a financial and legislative point of view, to enable the development of sustainable aviation and a competitive European single market within the Destination 2050 roadmap.

Destination 2050 associations have been working with the European Commission services towards this objective.
