Olivier Raevel, VP, Commercial EU, Gevo

Olivier Raevel has 35 years’ experience of global commodities markets having begun his career as an energy options market maker at Société Générale before moving onto various trading, structuring, marketing and supervision roles in Paris, London and New York – which included being a founding Board member of ICE. Raevel has also worked for ABN Amro in London originating OTC EMEA commodities products as well as carrying out a structured energy derivatives role with Koch Supply & Trading in Geneva. He established Griffin Markets (Gas and Power) OTF in Paris following Brexit while sitting on the ESMA CDTF. He joined Griffin in 2018 from Euronext where he was Head of Commodity Markets, designing and implementing their IPO strategy in that asset class.

Raevel joined Gevo as VP, Commercial EU in November 2023.
