ReFuelEU Aviation published in the EU Official Journal

31 October 2023: ReFuelEU Aviation has been published in the European Union Official Journal. It has now entered into force and the first SAF mandates will apply from 1 January 2025.

19 September 2023: Last week, the European Parliament approved the report on sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) drafted by Rapporteur José Ramón Bauza Diaz (Renew, Spain) and adopted the ReFuelEU text. The votes were 518 in favour and 97 against with 8 MEPs abstaining. The final adopted text has been published. 

The day before, the RED trilogue agreement was also adopted in plenary.
