EUROCONTROL study on climate change risks for EU aviation
6 September 2021: Eurocontrol has published its study on climate change risks for European aviation on 6 September. The study was carried out by Egis and the UK Met Office on behalf of EUROCONTROL and assesses how existing weather trends have impacted aviation in the years. It forecasts growing disruption both on the ground and in the air.
The report particularly looks at:
- Short-term weather outlook
- Storms and flight operations
- Sea level rise and airport operations
- Tourism
- Upper winds and flight operations
