Nico Bezuidenhout, CEO of Aurigny Air Services, is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years executive-level experience, 16 of which as Chief Executive Officer and/or Director, in Africa, Central Asia and the United Kingdom. Experienced in start-up, steady-state and business restructuring situations and with a proven ability to deliver sustainable financial results in organisations ranging from small (<$100mn turnover, < 500 employees) to large (>$3bn annual turnover, > 10,000 employees).

Extensive board-level exposure in publicly-listed, private and State-owned organizations, covering various aviation business models (low-cost carrier, feeder airline and traditional network carriers) and industry segments (airlines, maintenance and repair organisations, airline catering and distribution businesses). Bezuidenhout has a keen interest, experience and focus on entrepreneurship and innovation, corporate governance and application of best-practice principles, whether in an executive, non-executive or entrepreneurial capacity.

He has also held industry leadership roles, including past Chairman of the Airlines Association of Africa, President of the International Association of Airlines AGM (2013), EXCO member of the Airlines Association of Southern Africa and past Chief Executive Board member of Star Alliance.
