Impact assessment on the review of the Slots regulation

24 January 2023: The consultancy Steer is conducting an impact assessment of potential changes to Council Regulation (EEC) No 95/93 of 18 January 1993 on behalf of the European Commission on common rules for the allocation of slots at Community airports (the ‘Slot Regulation’). The deadline to submit input is 21 February.

The objectives of the impact assessment study are to:

• verify the existence of a problem;
• identify its underlying causes;
• assess whether EU action is needed; and
• analyse the advantages and disadvantages of available solutions.

The Commission invites all concerned stakeholders to express their views and provide relevant data or evidence for the study through the questionnaire available at the link below:

The questionnaire will remain open for 4 weeks (until 21 February 2023; end of day).
