ERA General Assembly 2013 – fantastic start to Salzburg
The first day of the annual ERA General Assembly (GA) 2013 in Salzburg got off to a flying start. The golf tournament and beginners’ golf clinic were well attended by delegates and the Sound of Music Tour, which takes in breath-taking views of the countryside and the city’s stunning architectural landmarks, was also very popular.
Later in the day the ERA Directorate hosted an informal drinks reception for the media which was followed by the formal opening of the GA exhibition. Journalists enjoyed the opportunity to speak with members of the ERA Directorate including Simon McNamara, Director General, ERA, Nick Mower, General Manager Regulatory Affairs and Leo Massetti, Manager Regulatory Affairs.
The welcome reception, which opened ERA General Assembly 2013 in the late afternoon, played host to the 31 companies exhibiting at this year’s conference. Exhibitors include ATR, Bombardier, Embraer, Fokker, Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation and Power Jet. The reception is always a great start to GA and this year was no exception with delegates taking advantage of the networking opportunity to meet up with old colleagues and form new business associations.
As the evening draws to a close, delegates are already looking forward to tomorrow’s programme which includes a focus on social media, news conferences and two informative conference sessions.
