AZEA membership list released
30 September 2022: The European Commission (DG DEFIS) has released the list of initial members participating in the Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation (AZEA). The list includes 74 entities from across the aeronautical industry, including: airlines, manufacturers, aircraft lessors, airports, energy providers, business associations and civil society organisations.
ERA is part of this initiative and is delighted to see many of its members part of the Alliance as well, including: Amelia, SATA Air Acores, AURA AERO, Airbus, Collins Aerospace, Napier Park Global Capital, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Swedish Aviation Industry Group, Universal Hydrogen and ZeroAvia.
The AZEA aims to prepare the aviation ecosystem for the entry into service of hydrogen- and electric-powered aircraft, to ensure that air transport contributes to Europe's 2050 climate neutrality objective. As next steps, the Alliance’s Steering Committee will be constituted and convene to prepare the first General Assembly, set to take place on 14 November.
ERA will continue to follow any developments concerning the AZEA and will communicate with its members in due time.
