Wångdahl is the Vice President Airline Operations of Scandinavian Airlines Group.

He has over 30 years' experience in the aviation industry with 15 years spent serving in different positions such as Chairman of the Board, CEO and COO in various airlines in the Nordic countries including Flying Enterprise, Skyways, Avitrans Nordic, Sverigeflyg, City Airline, Estonian Air, Blue1 and Cimber. He has made several successful transformations in the different airlines.

He has successfully led the transformation in SAS to create an external production platform. This transformation also includes a successful divestment of Blue1 and Cimber to outside the SAS group as well as start-up of a European platform, SAS Ireland, operating nine Airbus 320neo where he holds the position as Chairman of the Board.

Scandinavian Airlines contracted 42 in 2023 from different capacity providers, mainly a regional fleet (30 per cent of SAS fleet) of mainly turboprops and regional jets operated by wet-lease capacity providers.
