Session 1 - From June 2020 Gilles Feith became Chief Executive Officer at Luxair and was tasked with the relaunch of the airline activities as all aircraft had been grounded since mid-March 2020. Founded in 1961, Luxair has been offering fast air service to most of Europe's largest cities, business centres and international hubs, since 1962. The airline stands for Safe and Clean travelling and prides itself upon providing quality travel both to its business clients and to its leisure customers.
Feith's career started right after graduating in Commercial and Financial sciences in 2001, when he began working in audit and consulting, mainly in commercial companies and in the insurance sector. He gained a lot of practical, on-the-ground, experience and moved to the incumbent telecom operator, where he was in charge of telecom-related projects and regulatory accounting. Moving to the Government, Feith worked in policy and financial analysis for civil services matters and quickly changed to the Government IT centre where Feith was in charge as Deputy Director and then, as Director, of the large IT projects and services of the Government of Luxembourg. End of 2018 Feith became Head of cabinet to the Minister of Defence and was in charge of overlooking large infrastructure projects, the Luxembourg Army affairs as well as policy matters. Feith, a digital-native, defines himself as a goal-oriented optimist with the energy to weather every storm.
