Maren Wolters is Managing Director of German Airways, based in Cologne, Germany. Her career at German Airways began in 2019 as Aircraft and Procurement Manager. She now leads commercial management of the airline including sales, finance, cultural change and modernisation of the overall organisation, leading the airline through the COVID-19 pandemic and developing its operational and sustainable growth.
Wolters has specialised knowledge in logistics and mobility, restructuring and trend developments by connecting operational performance with financial key indicators, with a focused analytic and resilient mindset.
Prior to joining German Airways, she spent time working for the German railway organisation Deutsche Bahn, working her way to becoming a Project Manager in Tender Management by 2018.
Wolters also has experience as a General Manager at Airport Rostock-Laage, is a Member of the Supervisory Board at fashion retailer ADLER and has been involved with the restructuring of operations at confectionary company Leysieffer. As an authorised representative of the Kolibri Group (formerly Zeitfracht Group) she is involved in strategic development of the group, responsible for specific mandates in several group companies in restructuring of acquired assets or operations and internal review on behalf of the management and supervisory board.
She has Bachelor of Science from RWTH Aachen University in industrial engineering, as well as a Masters in industrial engineering, and is currently studying for a Ph.D at the University of Wuppertal on German local public rail transport.
