Jacob Nitter Sørensen is CEO of Air Greenland Group. Nitter, a local of Nuuk Greenland, has spent over 25 years in aviation, 22 years in Air Greenland. He joined Air Greenland in 2000 as a young co-pilot and besides flying various types, he has held positions as Training Manager, Chief Pilot, Director of Operations and has been CEO of the Air Greenland Group since May 2017. Air Greenland operates on a very complex AOC and business with everything from single-engine helicopters to wide-body jets and heavy helicopters. The group also owns and operates a travel agency, hotels, lodges and incoming activities and thus covers the whole value chain. Working with so many professionals and balancing a very diversified commercial business, which at the same time delivers critical infrastructure in a very complex and challenging operational environment is what motivates Nitter.
