PowerJet
PowerJet, founded in July 2004, is a 50/50 joint venture between Safran Aircraft Engines (France) and UEC Saturn (Russia). The company manages the SaM146 engine programme, including development, production, marketing and sales, as well as 24/ 7 customer support and MRO services. Purpose-optimised for the Sukhoi Superjet 100, the SaM146 engine gives the SSJ100 an extended operating range, with two versions: 1S17 and 1S18. The SaM146 entered service in 2011 with Russian carrier Aeroflot and it is currently operated by more than 15 operators. Since entering revenue service in 2011, the SaM146 engine has demonstrated a great ability in all types of flight conditions and a dispatch reliability of 99.9 per cent at the same level of world-class engines.
