London City Airport
London City Airport is the only airport situated in London itself, just three miles from Canary Wharf, seven miles from the city and 10 miles from London’s West End and linked to all via the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). Opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1987, it now serves 3.5 million business and leisure passengers to destinations across the UK and Europe.
We are London’s most central airport and known internationally for our punctuality, speed of service and award-winning customer experience – from door to gate in under 20 minutes and getting out of the airport in as little as five.
London City Airport connects to over 30 leisure and business destinations in the UK, Europe and beyond, and in 2024 we were once again named London’s Best Airport by Which?.
In 2024, we also completed a significant upgrade to our departure lounge, with 30 per cent more seating, two new restaurants, duty free expansion, more washrooms and a brand-new look and feel throughout.
