Aarhus Airport is the international gateway to Aarhus, the second city of Denmark with a metropolitan population of 1.38 million, making it the largest non- capital city and fifth largest market in Scandinavia. 2017’s European Capital of Culture and Scandinavia’s fastest-growing inbound tourism destination for the last six consecutive years, Aarhus is a fast-accelerating €59bn economy and the fastest growing in Denmark, home to some of the country’s highest disposable income areas and major global corporate headquarters in diverse and rapidly-expanding commercial sectors, such as wind energy, food science, engineering, IT, fashion, architecture, biotech and R&D.
