Old Town Square
Dating back to the 12th century, the Old Town Square, one of Prague's main attractions, is like taking a journey back in time.
With its ancient surrounding buildings of Romanesque, baroque and Gothic styles, and its magnificent churches, it is one of the most beautiful historical sights in Europe. The most notable sights on the square are the Old Town Hall Tower & Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church and St. Nicholas Church.
At the centre of the Old Town Square is the Jan Hus statue, erected on the 6th July 1915 to mark the 500th anniversary of the reformer’s death.
