Azores Airlines
Azores Airlines is an air carrier operating out of the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores, nine islands located in the mid-north Atlantic. Azores Airlines currently operates nine young narrow-body aircraft of the Airbus family connecting the five gateways in the archipelago; São Miguel, Terceira, Faial, Pico and Santa Maria, to destinations in Portugal: Lisbon, Porto and Madeira Island; other destinations in mainland Europe; in North America and Cape Verde Archipelago. Azores Airlines’ key market is the Azorean diaspora. Complementarily, and increasingly, it serves in the inflow of visiting tourism to the archipelago as well as connecting traffic between continents through the airports of São Miguel and Terceira islands. During quieter periods of the year, it also operates in the charter market, leasing wet and dry capacity to other regular players.
