8 April 2025: The 116th meeting of the Stakeholder Advisory Group for Aviation Security (SAGAS) was held in Brussels on 24 March, with ERA represented by Rose Marengo from ERA member security consultants LAM LHA.
The EU’s SAGAS is a formal consultation body that convenes about four times a year. Its members include the European Commission (DG MOVE), Member State representatives and industry security experts.
During SAGAS 116, discussions covered updates on international developments including one-stop security, LAGS and cybersecurity, policy initiatives from EASA, as well as the latest information with regards to a draft proposal for amendments to the Implementing regulation.
The ERA Safety Group received a detailed presentation from LAM LHA covering the main points. This will be sent to members separately along with the main working papers from the meeting.
