Stimulating discussions expected at ERA spring event
29 March 2022: ERA is welcoming member delegates to the beautiful archipelago of Malta this week as part of its prestigious Regional Airline Conference.
- Delivering a unique blend of business networking opportunities and a topical agenda, the high-profile event will be held 30–31 March.
ERA’s Regional Airline Conference 2022, taking place 30–31 March in the Mediterranean island of Malta, is set to feature a variety of thought-provoking sessions. Following discussions at ERA’s Membership Conference at the end of 2021, speakers will continue to debate Europe’s green transportation transition and how aviation can substantially reduce its CO2 emissions by 2050. Another significant topic will be industry partnerships and supporting better co-operation within the sector and with EU institutions.
Expert insight will be heard from key industry and political figures, including: John Santurbano, Director General, Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC), EUROCONTROL; Axel Krein, Executive Director, Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking (JU); and Josianne Cutajar, MEP, Malta. Equally, Flor Diaz Pulido, Head of Unit, Aviation Policy, DG MOVE, European Commission, will speak at the exclusive Airline and Airport CEOs’ Meeting ahead of the conference.
As well as this, for the final session delegates will hear from a truly inspirational speaker, world record-breaking polar explorer Ben Saunders. Saunders will touch on challenging the status quo, pushing past self-imposed limits, the importance of communication, and managing change.
