ERA responds to UK Government Aviation 2050 Green Paper

ERA response to Future of UK Aviation Green Paper.pdf

In December 2018 the UK Government published its consultation on a new aviation strategy: ‘Aviation 2050: the future of UK aviation’ – a long-term plan to achieve a safe, secure and sustainable aviation sector that meets the needs of consumers and of a global, outward-looking Britain.

The government engaged with stakeholders, including ERA, asking for their responses to the proposals in the strategy, with the final strategy proposed to be published in 2019.  ERA has now submitted its response to the UK Government’s Aviation 2050 Strategy green paper consultation on behalf of airline members. The responses ranged from safety issues such as drones, ground handling, disruptive passengers, cyber security and lasers and aeropolitical affairs issues including Brexit, regional growth and connectivity, airline insolvency and consumer rights as well as airspace. The full response document can be downloaded from the top right of this page.

ERA looks forward receiving further updates on the progress of the UK aviation strategy in due course, and will share outcomes with members.
