Legal Network

Terms of Reference

The ERA Legal Network is an initiative that has been created to offer ERA members assistance with any legal issues where they may lack the necessary in-house expertise, or find some of the legal concepts/laws confusing. ERA believes the network should provide a benefit to members and for this knowledge and experience to be pooled in order that members are able to obtain advice away from their principal place of business or jurisdiction on the basis of potential advice and support from those likely to have had experience of similar issues.

The network is currently open to all ERA airline members, and the aim is to hold several telephone conference calls and/or physical meetings each year.

In February 2017 the network produced its first Legal Network Brief, covering baggage claim awareness. All briefs will be prepared and submitted by ERA member law firms, and will be an excellent way of providing useful (legal) information to ERA members.  All Legal Network Briefs can be viewed via the downloads section on this page, as and when they are published.
