KLM Cityhopper is a wholly owned subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and an independent operating carrier, feeding its European flights into KLM’s vast intercontinental and European network. No less than 18 commercial codeshare KLM partners worldwide make extensive use of the 100,000 flights operated by KLM Cityhopper each year. KLM Cityhopper has a fleet of 34 Embraer E190s and Embraer E175s, which will be expanded by the addition of 8 new Embraer 175s by the end of 2017. In the course of 2017, the Fokker fleet will be phased out. Throughout 2018 more E175s will be phased in.
KLM Cityhopper operates flights to 63 scheduled European destinations and is also an AOC holder and operator for the Dutch Government aircraft. On average, the carrier operates 285 flights a day year-round. To create a seamless product & service, KLM Cityhopper offers three classes on board of all aircraft: Europe Business Class, Economy Comfort and Economy Class. In addition, KLM Cityhopper provides extensive service to her customers through various digital means, such as their social media channels.
In 2015, the airline was elected as ‘The Regional Airline of the year’ by Air Transport News and together with KLM they were named the most punctual airline in 2016 after being ranked the #1 international airline for on-time performance by FlightStats.
